Final Eurovets GP Positions 2008 (6 from 7 Rounds)
13th.
To be held at East London CSC on Saturday 25th. October at 15.00 Hours
It will be the 7th. and Final Round of the 2008 Eurovets GP Series as well.
Entries are welcome from all current Eurovets GP Series Riders and any other riders over the age of 40 on the day who are currently still involved in Cycle Speedway racing. Non registered riders can compete on payment of a £3.00 “Day Licence”. Please note that the racing is of a very competitive nature and risky to anyone who has not raced for a long time.
Depending on the amount of entries present by 14.30 Hours the format of the meeting may possibly have to be run in 2 matches.
As there has been a terrific interest this season from ‘over fifties’ riders it has been suggested that the meeting will commence with an Over 50s & 60s Individual for 16 (or 12) riders with A and B GP Finals in both age groups to determine Eurovets points.
This will be followed by the main LOM / Eurovets over 40s 16 man final which will include the top 3 over 50’s riders in the GP series (if they wish!) and if there are still spaces they will be filled by the other leading finishers in the 1st. match (if they wish) to provide a full field. This will also have 2 GP Finals.
Depending on the final GP scores there may also have to be “run off races” to decide the season’s prizewinners. Competitors should bear this in mind as one could be racing in as many as 14 or 15 races if you are a fit (or mad) 60 year old!
With so many races to get through there will only be an interval of 20 minutes between the two matches. Of course if for any reasons the numbers are not as high as anticipated the programme may be altered correspondingly to just one individual and the GP Finals.
Full details of the 2008 Eurovets GP Series can be located on the website www.freewebs.com/eurovets . Eurovets riders should confirm entry with Fred Rothwell and other riders with myself.
